ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
The college has got awesome built up area of 74,000 sq. meters encompassing 21 state of art buildings. The whole college beholds a great ambiance & is in a serene lush green environment.
The Hospital goes by the name of SSMC Hospital which is a 1350 beded multi speciality hospital having ultra modern 12 major operation theatres with separate departments for OPD & casualty.The Hospital is serving 24 by 7 to the patients and needy.Round the clock skilful doctors are available to give their valuable service to people from rural areas.The central library is built up in a huge area of 13000 sq .feet and has Indian & foreign journals for guiding the students.

Sree Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) was started in the year 1988 by Sree Siddhartha Educational Society (SSES). The Medical College and hospital is located in the outskirts of Tumkur city – 6 km from the city amidst green field in a vast campus of 220 acres of the side of Bangalore – Honnavar national highway and it is just 76 Km from Bangalore city connected by road and railway.
The climate is similar to Bangalore. There are 21 buildings with built-in area of about 73,875 sq. mt at the cost of about Rs. 20 crores, which include furnished quarters for staffs. There are separate buildings for pre and para-clinical departments, library and information center and SSMC Hospital
